The capital city had some great restaurants, a  cathedral, an old castle that once housed members of various royal families in Europe, and plazas and alleys in the style of old Spanish cities.

We just walked in here on the first day for a late lunch and were delighted with tapas, grilled fish, and roast pork, Spanish style.
