Ralph Rodriguez, Captain Michael, and I enjoyed a traditional trip in the Mt. Desert area, starting in Camden and ending in Northeast Harbor on Mt. Desert Island. A highlight of this trip was a visit to Horseshoe Cove, which is at the upper end of Eggemoggin Reach. We were delighted with the great protection and the beautiful scenery here. It was foggy part of the time, and we enjoyed taking pictures in the unusual light that was created. As usual we managed some guitar playing with my Yamaha SLG-100N, a guitar with a classical fingerboard but completely electric. It is highly portable because metal supports that form the body can be removed. Although the guitar has no resonating cavity, the sound is surprisingly good and very satisfactory for playing classical guitar music as well as Ralph's jazzier music. We are able to play it through the stereo system on the boat. We also returned once again to Bunker's Harbor for dinner. The restaurant continues to attract plenty of customers, and for us it is a great place to bring the boat, as few seem to travel there because of all the warnings in the coast pilot and the forbidding rocks showing on the chart all around the entrance. Additional video and photos on photo album and video site. Bill, the owner of the restaurant in Bunker's Harbor. Morning, Bunker's Harbor.
